About Alyson Ingram

Welcome

Hi, I’m Alyson and have worked in educational and clinical settings for over 23 years. I have a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a M.A. in Counseling from West Virginia University. As a resident in Counseling, I believe that growth often begins in life’s most challenging moments. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel heard, validated and empowered to survive and thrive in the midst of life’s adversities. I use multiple therapeutic approaches to tailor the most impactful counseling methods for each person. Some of these include cognitive-behavioral, stress management, wellness/holistic and mindfulness based strategies. I enjoy working with children, adolescents and young adults to build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional well being, and to facilitate each person’s connection to inner resilience.
